سعيدة اليوم بإنجازي لتقرير عن الضربات الجوية في اليمن لقوات التحالف بقيادة السعودية تحت عنوان “غارات عمياء” وتحت إطار منظمة مواطنة لحقوق الإنسان وبمساعدة من زملائي العاملين في المنظمة.
حيث يسلط التقرير الضوء على 44 حادثة للضربات الجوية في 9 محافظات يمنية، ويوثق مقتل 615 مدنياً على الأقل، بينهم 120 امرأة و220 طفلاً، وإصابة 678 آخرين، بينهم 125 امرأة و167 طفلاً.
ويذكر التقرير شهادات للضحايا الناجيين وأهالي الضحايا وشهود العيان، جميعهم يتحدثون عن تجاربهم المرعبة عند رؤية أهاليهم وأحبابهم ينتهون بمرأى من أعينهم، أو عند نجاتهم بإعجوبة من موت حتمي أو حتى عند تشردهم بعد أن دمرت منازلهم بسبب الضربات الجوية وفقدانهم لمصدر رزقهم.
عانى اليمنيون كثيراً خلال هذه الحرب، ومازالوا يدفعون الكثير بسببها حتى اليوم. لذلك التعامل معهم كمجرد أرقام ترتفع في سجل ضحايا الحروب هي جريمة أخرى تُرتكب بحقهم. يجب معاقبة مرتكبي جرائم الحرب وتقديمهم للعدالة أيماً كانوا وأياً كانت جرائمهم بحق المدنيين الأبرياء.

Happy today for completing a report on Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes in Yemen entitled “Blind airstrikes” and under the supervision of Mwatana Organization for Human Rights, with the help of my colleagues at the organization.
The report sheds light on 44 airstrikes incidents in 9 provinces in Yemen, and it documents the killing of 615 civilians, including 120 women and 220 children, and the injury of 678 others among whom at least 125 women and 167 children.
The report states the testimonies of the airstrikes’ victims, the victims’ families and eye-witnesses, all talking about their horrific experiences when seeing their families and loved ones get killed in front of their eyes, or when surviving miraculously from an inevitable death, or even when they lose their homes and source of livelihoods due to these airstrikes.
Yemenis suffered greatly during this war, and they are still paying so much because of it today. Thus, dealing with them merely as figures being raised in victims record is another crime committed against them. Perpetrators of war crimes should be punished and brought to justice whoever they were and whatever their crimes against innocent civilians might be.
